It’s time for a new Lawn Fawnatics challenge! The current challenge runs for two weeks and ends Sunday, January 19th at 11:59pm PST. We hope you’ll play along! The theme is Something Old, Something New. You can use something you’ve had a while and something you recently got (even if it’s an older product, it’s new to YOU!).

I decided to use the Mom + Me set along with the new Heart Shaker Gift Tag dies. I know Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching – it’s also a great time to share love with moms and special women in your life! I think this stamp set is so sweet and thought it would be perfect for a heart shaker gift tag.

I first stamped and colored my two images using Copic markers. After coloring, I added a few white gel highlights before fussy cutting (I wish I had the dies, but it’s only two images and wasn’t bad at all).

My tags are die-cut using the Watercolor Wishes patterned paper as well as the Spring Sparkle Cardstock. I created my shaker window with acetate and used the negative from the XOXO frame to create my shaker components. I also added some small iridescent heart confetti to intensify the shaker colors.

I also added a second plain heart tag to add a sentiment, or in this case, the word Mom. Once the shakers were put together, I secured my images to the side of the hearts and tied twine and made a little bow by double-knotting the ribbon. This finishes the tag set off nicely with a feminine touch.
