Hi, Friends!
There’s a new Altenew Build-A-Flower release today and we’re presenting the Triumph Tulip today! I wanted to create a full arrangement, so my card today is a 5×7 card.

As usual, the Build-A-Flower sets come with coordinating dies. There are even Build-A-Flower sets with coordinating ink bundles. The Triumph Tulip & Ink Bundle is available for 5% off. Be sure to check out the Altenew Blog for more inspiration and to start this blog hop!

To create my card today, I started by stamping my images with Altenew inks. My tulips are inked with Blush, Pink Pearl, Coral Bliss, Vineyard Berry, Grapevine inks; Lavender with Soft Lilac, Hydrangea, Ultraviolet; Leaves with Frayed Leaf, Forest Glades, Evergreen.

After stamping, I die-cut my images and then set them aside to ink-blend my 5″x7″ background with Milled Lavender and Wilted Violet Distress Oxide Inks on a diagonal. After adhering the lavender and some of the leaves to frame my arrangement, I added my tulips with foam adhesive and then added the remaining leaves to fill my bouquet.

I stamped my sentiment in the upper right hand corner and masked it off with some scrap paper and splattered my panel with white and black paint to give it interest.

Caly, this is one of my favorites in the big example view that is seen on some of the posts! I love the background and how it goes so well with the tulips! You always make great cards and this is no exception! I don’t know where you get your inspiration but I wish you would send some my way! Kudos to you for such great work on these triumph tulips!

This is a great card — like a bouquet in an envelope! I can see doing a bunch of the flowers and leaves in coordinating colors, cutting them out and then just saving them until you need a card and BAM.

Love the way your beautiful arrangement filled a 5×7 card. Beautiful! And it’s nice to make larger cards from time to time. Love that you did the shading for the background at a diagonal, too. Thanks for the inspiration!
