The MFT Message in a Bottle Card Kit is available now! For my project today, I’ve created an underwater scene with my bottle stuck in some reef plants.

I began by ink-blending my panel with Salty Ocean and Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide Inks. Then I sprayed my panel to add some texture and splattered it with some white ink. Then I die-cut my Message In a Bottle window for my shaker pouch and used craft foam to give my card some dimension. I decorated the reef simply with 3 die-cut images from the Under the Sea Die-namics using white and Cotton Candy card stock that I ink-blended with Razzle Berry ink. I also used the Under the Sea to create the ocean bottom and colored with Copic markers to create the sand (E31, E33, E35, E37, E39).

I added my message inside the bottle along with some sequins and sealed my shaker panel over my cardbase to finish. The cork is die-cut from Kraft card stock and colored/dotted with Copic markers E11, E13, and E15.  To attach it, I used a kraft knife and cut a slit at the top of the shaker pouch and slid it in.  I secured the top portion with foam adhesive.
