My Favorite Things – March 2020 MFT & Friends – Straight-Up Rainbow

Welcome to the March MFT Release! The team and our special friends are sharing projects to inspire you with all the new products that are available in the MFT Boutique now!

I used the Straight-Up Rainbow Die-namics along with my new Scripty Smile Die-namics (handlettered by me – yippee!) to create 7 cards with slightly different layouts to show you a variety. I had to die-cut the rainbow stripes for all the different colors of the rainbow anyway – so why not mass produce while I had everything out!?

I had so much fun making these! I first stenciled all my panels with the Cloud stencil – 4 portrait and 3 landscape. After die-cutting all my strips in various colors, I began adhering them all to my stenciled backgrounds – placing the clouds at the top, bottoms and sides to make each card unique.

I added cardstock behind the faces to give them color and adhered them over the rainbow strips with foam adhesive for dimension. To give them some color, I also ink-blended the edges with the Blu Raspberry ink that I also used for the stenciled background.

I added the Scripty Smile to a few and didn’t others, but all are finished with an embossed sentiment strip using the Rainbow Greetings stamp set. I attached my sentiments with foam adhesive also for added dimension.
