My Favorite Things – Wednesday Sketch Challenge #484 – Watermelon Slice

Hey Friends!

Thanks for joining me today for a new MFT Sketch Challenge! Today’s sketch and fun and simple so we hope you’ll play along. Instead of a heart, I decided to replace that element with a watermelon slice. Watermelons are one of our family favorites and we cannot wait for warmer weather to be able to enjoy watermelons at their finest!

I die-cut the Watermelon Slice and ink-blended with MFT dye inks before piecing it together. I also ink-blended a white panel lightly with the green ink before attaching my watermelon slice with foam adhesive to give it dimension.

I used clear dew drops to embellish my card and fulfill the circle elements from the sketch. I added a second banner to my sentiment, but decided I didn’t want to cover up my watermelon slice and placed it in the top left section of my card instead. This was a fun and quick card to make and I hope you’ll play along!
