Hello Fawnatics Friends!

Thanks for stopping by for a new challenge! Our focus for the next two weeks is Spectacular Skies! Lawn Fawn has several sets that would be appropriate to decorate a sky – day or night!

For today’s card, I’ve watercolored a background using Daniel Smith Watercolors. To give it some texture, I splattered with white paint. Once dry, I added a stitched border using the Outside In Stitched Rectangle set.

I then die-cut the Puffy Cloud Borders from white cardstock and vellum to layer at the bottom of my card with foam adhesive for dimension. Do you guys ever create your backgrounds before coloring? Sometimes it’s easier for me to create a scene if I already have a background – especially when I’m unmotivated to color because it often takes a while to color!

Luckily – the images from the Super Star set are easy and straight forward! I stamped and colored them with Copic markers.

Copics:  Y11, Y15, Y35, R20, E30, E31, E33, E35, C1, C3, C5

After coloring, I die-cut the pieces and added some clear glue over the stars and sprinkled Prisma Glitter over them to give them some sparkle. They dry almost instantly so I was able to add them to my background pretty quickly!
