My Favorite Things – Birthday Challenge – Sweet Birthday Wishes Circular Card

Hi, Friends!

The MFT team is celebrating April birthdays today using a circular theme! Circle cards offer a softer look compared to the hard angles of a square or rectangle card. This is my first time creating one and I love that these challenges often push me to do things I’ve never done before! We hope you’ll celebrate April birthdays with us!

My card today uses the A2 Stitched Circle STAX set to create not only my circle card base, but also the circle frame using two circle dies – die-cut at the same time to create the ring from Blu Raspberry cardstock.

I stamped and colored my images from the Sweet Celebration Wishes set using Copic markers.

Skin:  E00, E50, E51, E11, R20
Hair/Cupcake:  E23, E25, E27, E49
Pinks:  RV10, RV11, R83, R85
Teals:  BG10, BG11, BG13
Blues:  B000, B01, B02
Cream:  YR30, YR31

Before attaching my teal ring, I ink-blended some Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide Ink over my top panel, going dark to light from top to bottom. Then to create my card base, I die-cut two circles, scored the top of the back piece and adhered the front piece to the scored top portion of the back piece. The images are then adhered to my card using foam adhesive. I simply stamped my sentiment over white cardstock using the Razzle Berry Ink.

I hope you enjoyed this project! Don’t forget to create and share for your chance to win a $50 giftcard to the MFT Boutique! The link up is on the MFT blog post for this month’s Birthday Challenge!
