It’s release day for Simon Says Stamp! The new Crafty Hugs Release is live and I’m so excited to be a part of it! Many of you loved the Peony Bouquet Stencil from a previous release and now, it’s available as a background stamp set! The Peony Bouquet background stamp is so beautiful and I decided to do some no-line watercoloring to give it as much detail as I could.

I stamped the image with a light ink and began watercoloring with Daniel Smith Watercolors. For the flowers, I used Quinacridone Magenta; for the leaves, I used Hooker’s Green; and for the flower centers, I used New Gamboge.

After coloring, I trimmed my panel and splattered it with white and black paint. I die-cut my sentiment from the Friend die and a sentiment strip from the Reverse Miss You Sentiment Strips.

I added a some twine to my card before matting it onto a light kraft cardstock. Then to embellish further, I added a few drops of Gloss White Nuvo Crystal Drops.
