My Favorite Things – June Birthday Project

Hey, Friends!

Every month, the MFT celebrates birthdays with a theme. This month, we’re celebrating with a party scene! I’ve pulled out several birthday sets from my stash to combine critters for my party scene.

To fit all my critters on a card, I created a slimline card measuring 3.5″ x 8.5″. I began by stamping and coloring my images with Copic markers.

Copics:
Hippo:  BV20, BV23, BV25
Elephants:  W00, W1, W3, W5
Zebra:  C0, C2, C4
Rhino:  E41m, E42, E43, E44
Chick:  Y00, Y15, YR23
Cake:  YR21, E55
Pinks:  RV11, RV34, R85
Purples:  V01, V05, V09
Teals:  BG10, BG11, BG13
Blush:  R20

Once done coloring and die-cutting all of my images, I ink-blended a blank panel with Distress Oxide Inks using Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick, and Seedless Preserves. I like to trim my panels to mat the card base – it also cuts off the rough edges from the ink-blending.

There spaces on the left and right for sentiments and I couldn’t decide where to put it, so I stamped two.

I’ve scene brilliant cards in the past created like this by my friend and teammate, Rachel Alvarado and I’m always in awe of her work. I finally got the opportunity to create a party scene using critters multiple sets and I hope you like it!

Thanks for stopping by today!
