Hi, Friends!
MFT Stamps has a unique mid-month release this month and it’s full of beautiful red rubber stamps! We are counting down starting today with the release on Tuesday at 10am EST.

Today’s card features the Flower Field Background stamp. I used Natural Hybrid Ink to stamp over Bristol Smooth cardstock so that I could watercolor using Karin markers for a no-line watercolor look.

This was truly a labor of love and I hope you enjoy it. I started one petal at a time, adding color directly to my card stock at the corners and then pulled out the pigment using a damp brush.

As you can imagine, that took a lot of time, but it produces vibrant flowers! I matted my painted image to a piece of Natural card stock and embossed a simple sentiment for my card.
I hope you’ll join me again tomorrow. I will be using a different color medium each day for this release and think it will be fun to share all the different ways to color floral images – whether as separate images or as a background.

SUPPLIES:

Caly, this is stunning — and you make me want to try it! I don’t remember MFT doing a mid-month release before, I get your blog post before I get their blog post, so I’ll have to go check it out!

They’ve normally done Kit Releases and Vault Releases, so this is a special one! 🥰

This is really pretty. I know that coloring in each flower with no line water coloring can take time but this is like a piece of art for your wall.
