Hi, Friends!
The Simon Says Stamp Let’s Connect Release is here and today is Day 2 of the blog hop celebration! If you missed yesterday’s blog hop, be sure to check it out! You can also check out the Let’s Connect Gallery for all the inspiration and link up your projects if you create with this release! There are other galleries you can add to as well outside this release!
Over the next month, you’ll see a lot more from me using this month’s release and I can’t wait to share it all with you! Since the release is called “Let’s Connect”, I couldn’t help but share a card made using the Let’s Connect set!

I’ve had a few Zoom calls with crafty friends during this quarantine and it’s one of the best things amidst all the chaos and unknowns. It really is true that people are only a click or dial away and I’m so grateful for that!

My card is pretty simple, but I think it packs a lot of meaning. Friends gathering from all over to share one screen! I stamped and colored my computer monitor using Copic markers and then die-cut the image as well as the “let’s connect” sentiment.
Copic colors used:
Blues: B0000, B000, B01
Browns: [E000, E00, E13], [E30, E34], [E35, E37, E39], [YR20, YR21, YR24]
Teals: BG10, BG11, BG13
Grays: C00, C0, C2, C4, C6, C8

The background is lightly ink-blended with Tattered Rose and Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Inks for some added dimension and color. I felt it needed more balance, so I also stamped a coordinating sentiment in the space to the upper right hand corner of the die-cut sentiment.

I hope you enjoyed this card! Thanks so much for stopping by today and be sure to hop along to see more inspiration and for your chance to win a $25 gift card to the Simon Says Stamp store! There’s a chance to win at every stop – just leave a comment along the way! Winners will be selected over the weekend and will be posted on the Simon Says Stamp blog on Wednesday, the 12th of August. Winners must email Simon Says Stamp to claim his/her prize.

This is such a DARLING CARD!!!
It really is a reminder and a comfort to know that even though we may be miles apart—we can still “reach out and touch someone”!!! Or many people! When I read the description of your card, I DID HAVE A FEELING OF PEACE AND COMFORT. We are so lucky to be living in an age of technology where this is possible. I just wanted you to know that it really had this effect on me. But what a darling card!!! I have Copic Markers—but I do often forget about them! I don’t use them nearly as much as I could. But this is an excellent example of how fun, easy and colorful they can make a card. And so easily!!!! Much easier than watercolors—that I always seem to mess up or smear 🥺. Thank you for the great ideas and inspiration!!!!
