A new Lawn Fawnatics Challenge has begun and for the next 3 weeks, we’re focusing on making the sentiments the star of the card.

My card today uses the Village Heroes and Happy Village stamp sets. I decided to create another home/village scene with the bold sentiment that says Home Sweet Home with the Scripty Sweet and Oliver’s Stitched ABCs Lawn Cuts.

I stamped and colored my my images using Copic markers and after die-cutting them, I also die-cut the sentiment word and letters.

Copic markers used:
Yellows:  Y00, Y08, Y38
Browns:  E000, E30, E31, E35, E35, E37
Greens:  YG11, G03, YG09
Grays:  C0, C2, C4
Blues:  B0000, B00, B21, B23
Reds:  R21, R22, R24
Pinks:  R000, R81, R83
Teals:  BG11, BG13
Purples:  BV000, BV00

For my background, I ink-blended a 4″ x 8.5″ panel with the Cloudy Stencil using a custom pad that I made with a blend of Cracked Pistachio and Tumbled Glass. Did you know you could do that? I just get a blank pad, mix the inks 1:1 on a glass surface, flip the pad on top of it and let it absorb the ink. I do this with my favorite colors!

After die-cutting my stitched border using the Large Slimline with Sliders die, I adhered my sentiment letters and words down first, then layered my images over in the open areas using liquid and foam adhesive to give random pops of dimension.
