Hi, Friends!

I’m stopping by today to share a watercolored card using Altenew products. Altenew is so thoughtful in their products and really have released everything a cardmaker would want. From alcohol markers to watercolor, there are mediums for anything and everything! Today, I’m watercoloring a card using their Artist Watercolor 24 Pan Set and the Paint-A-Flower Anemone set.

I stamped my image over watercolor cardstock and began watercoloring each petal for a no-line look. The set is a 4×6 set so the image is smaller and very detailed. So I stamped the image twice in opposite corners.

Paint colors used:
Flowers: Starry Night
Foliage: Green Meadows, Green Hills
Floral Centers: Rock Collection

Confession – when I was done painting, I dropped my wet brush over my panel and ruined the white space on the panel. So to fix this, I fussy cut around the images. I ink-blended another white panel using Speckled Egg Distress Oxide Ink attached the images with foam adhesive and splattered the whole thing with black paint to give it interest and to further hide the error from dropping my brush.

To finish my card, I stamped the hello sentiment and embellished my card with a few sequins and dabbed the floral centers with a white gel pen to give it some texture.
