Hi Friends!

Welcome back for another Mama Elephant project! I adore the Hooray Wishes set because it’s so positive and uplifting. I feel that it’s a very inclusive set and allows for coloring of cute kids with different skin tones – something I definitely wanted to do today.

I simply stamped and colored my images using Copic markers. I’m sorry I didn’t write them down today – I used a lot of markers and didn’t want tot keep track of them all. If you have a specific question, you can feel free to ask in the comments below and I’ll give you my favorite color combinations or what I think I used on these images!

After coloring and die-cutting the image, I die-cut the word Hooray four times to sstackc them for dimension. I also embossed the sentiment over black cardstock before preparing my background. I knew I wanted the Hooray word to sit at a diagonal, so I ink-blended my panel this way also.

My background is ink-blended with Seedless Preserves, Worn Lipstick and Tattered Rose Distress Oxide Inks. To give the panel some interest I splattered it with dark red paint and white paint. Once dry (it only took a few mins), I attached my Hooray word, then adhered the image to overlap the flourishes just a tad using foam adhesive, then finally added my sentiment with foam adhesive too.

It’s a fairly simple card but I hope it makes a bold statement! It’s important to me to celebrate everyday victories and to lift one another up! Thank you so much for stopping by today!
