Concord & 9th – Feature Friday – Seasonal Sayings and Merry Mantle

Hello and welcome to another Feature Friday post for Concord & 9th! Today, guest artists and I are sharing projects made using the Seasonal Sayings and Merry Mantle sets!

I love cards that use most dies and very little stamping! I wanted to incorporate the stamp set, so I used the set to emboss only a portion onto the black tag. To give this card lots of interest, I created a rainbow stripe background using Concord & 9th cardstock. I find that I’m always pulling out all the cardstock to work on die-cutting projects so I decided to take the time and create striped cardstock panels for future use too.

I line mine up on printer paper – but you could use heavy cardstock too. I run my printer paper through my Xyron Creation Station Lite to give it an even adhesive layer for the paper strips. Now I have a few panels ready for future projects! I used 17 colors for my rainbow and was able to create 2 full rainbows on half a sheet of paper.

I die-cut the word Merry from a piece of rainbow cardstock and die-cut the other words using gold glitter cardstock. It creates a simple and elegant card.

My second card uses the Merry Mantle set. It creates a beautiful mantle scene and is perfect for my family of 6. To use this cluster of stockings (there are individual stocking images too), I decided to create a slimline card to get everything to fit.

I stamped and colored all the images using Copic markers and stayed with holiday colors for today’s card.

Greens:  YG06, Y05, G09, G29
Browns:  [E40, E41, E42], [E34, E35, E37]
Reds:  R22, R24, R27, R89
Teals:  BG11, BG15, BG18
Grays:  C00, C1, C3, C5

Everything comes with dies but the cluster of stockings, but I didn’t mind fussy cutting it to finish my card. I stamped a simple sentiment in the open space above the mantle and again , die-cut the word “noel” with gold glitter cardstock to give it some shine.

I hope you enjoyed these projects! I really had a great time creating with these two fabulous bundles!
