Hi Friends!

Simon Says Stamp revealed their October 2020 Make Merry Release last night! I’m sharing another card I made using a slimline stamp set (which can also be used for standard sized cards) that stamps out elongated sentiments with perfect elegance!

My card is super straight forward and simple. I embossed my sentiment from the Holiday Sparkle Greetings stamp set and stars over Simon Says Stamp Sea Glass cardstock and ink-blended with Distress Oxide Inks in Broken China and Mermaid Lagoon. I blended from the outside in and left the natural cardstock towards the center to create the glow. The word EVERYTHING is embossed using the Good Cheer stamp set.

After ink-blending, I splattered the panel with water and also some white paint to give it additional texture – the water gives it almost a bokeh effect. Then I die-cut the panel using the second largest Slimline Nested Rectangles die. Then to frame it, I die-cut the largest Slimline Scallop Frame.

I didn’t want to “waste” a lot of silver sparkle glitter paper, so I cheated by embossing the outline of a cardbase using sparkle embossing powder. I always forget to do this but I remembered this time!
