Lawn Fawnatics – Challenge #87 – Tiny Gingerbread Snow Globe Scene

Wow, when it’s time for a new Lawn Fawnatics Challenge, I always ask myself where the past two weeks have gone! I hope you enjoyed the Halloween/Fall Inspiration Challenge. Today, a new challenge begins and it’s a card sketch!

Honestly, I pictured a shutter card – and I’ll be on the Lawn Fawnatics Blog on Wednesday to share one but today, I want to share one that’s a little more simple to inspire you to create. It doesn’t need to be complicated and you don’t have to use a heart element! I love the blocking on this card sketch and you could do anything!

I knew right away I wanted to use the Snow Globe Scenes to replace the heart element on this card since the holidays are upon us. I love that gingerbread man so much that I also used the Tiny Gingerbread set to add more images to my card. I stamped and colored these images with Copic markers.

Gingerbreads: R20, E51, E31, E34
Glues: BG0000, BG000, BG01
Teals: BG11, BG13, BG34, BG18
Green: G14
Reds: R32, R35, R39
Pinks: RV11, RV14, RV19
Gray: N2

On a blank A2-sized panel, I ink-blended snowflakes from the Snowflake Trio Stencil using Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide Ink. Then, I ink-blended softly around the outer edges with Tumbled Glass. Then I trimmed off 1/4″ off each side to mat this to a cardbase. The center panel is patterned paper from the Snowday Remix Petite Paper Pack.

One my background was created, all I had left to do was adhere my snow globe to the card, added the gingerbread cookies and a sentiment that I embossed in white over black cardstock.
