Clearly Besotted – Pirouetting Plushies Box Card

I’ve got a fun box card to share today! I love seeing these “flap-less” box cards on Instagram and was on a mission to make my own for today’s project. I had originally planned to make a smaller card to put into an A2 sized envelope – but because the extended rainbow image in this set is longer, I modified it some more to fit inside an A7 size envelope.

To begin, I first colored my images from the Clearly Besotted Pirouetting Plushies with Copic markers. Then I fussy cut the images – yes, even around those tiny hanging hearts!

Reds: R20, R21, R22, R24
Orange: Y32, RY02
Teals: BG11, BG23
Blues: B0000, B01
Purples: B20, V25
Grays: N0, N2, N4, N6

For my inserts, I cut them from vellum using Lawn Fawn’s Puffy Cloud Borders dies. Before assembling my box, I ink-blended clouds onto the box panel at the bottom using the Clearly Besotted Cloudy Day Stencil. Then I cut a second panel to to mat my back panel and ink-blended more clouds from the same stencil.

Once the box was assembled and the vellum inserts were attached, I started attaching my images on each of the cloud inserts as well as the front of the box along with the embossed sentiment.

I love that you can fold this box and it fits inside an envelope! How fun for recipients! Now, I know you’re probably wondering why I haven’t shared the dimensions! I’m saving the best for last for those sticking through it til the end with me! I drew something up and I hope you find it helpful! You can mat the box with additional panels however you like.
