Hey Friends!

I have a fun 3D project for you today created with dies by Spellbinders! This beautiful line of realistic florals and foliage is designed by Susan Tierney-Cockburn. I saw these and knew I had to create with them! I’m creating with the Oriental Poppy dies today along with the Foliage and Ladybugs die to create my floral spray.

Believe it or not, I used regular colored cardstock here (~80lbs). Using the Spellbinders Tool N One and Stylus Tools, I was able to crimp and add veins to the petals to give them their 3D shape. Susan has a tutorial on the Spellbinders YouTube Channel that is very easy to follow!

The petals and leaves are die-cut from colored cardstock and shaded with a few Copic markers (YG17, YG97, RV24, R29). Once everything was put together, I just needed to create my card panel – which I foiled with the Geometric Floral Glimmer Hot Foil Plate.

To finish, I attached a sentiment from the Thinking of You Sentiment Strips from Simon Says Stamp – quick and easy! I also added Glossy Accents over the poppy centers as well as over the lady bugs to give them some shine.

I hope you enjoyed this project! I really had a great time playing with these dies and learning something new about creating 3D flowers!
