Hi Friends!
It’s been a few months since I’ve gotten to play with with Pretty Pink Posh products so I pulled out a few today to make a card – which turned into two. I’m using one of my favorite floral sets – the Anemones set and pairing it with the Snowflakes Stencil to create winter cards. I’m also linking similar floral sets below from Pretty Pink Posh that would work great for the cards I’m making today.

I started by stamping and embossing the flowers and foliage onto white cardstock using white embossing powder (you can also use clear embossing powder). My technique today uses ink-blending to add color over embossed images – super easy and versatile as far as color goes! You can make cards for all occasions this way. For my flowers, using a winter theme, I ink-blended with Chipped Sapphire at the centers of the flowers and Weathered Wood around the edges. The leaves are ink-blended with Pine Needles Distress Oxide Ink. Then I die-cut them out and set them aside to work on the center panels.

I die-cut so much, that I had enough images for 2 cards. So I thought I would share it as an A2-sized card and as a slimline. For the center panels, I stenciled snowflakes over navy blue cardstock using white pigment ink. Then once that was dry, I embossed a sentiment over that in white.

The center panel is attached using foam tape at the center of the card panel, then the flowers and leaves are arranged at a diagonal behind the center sentiment panels – you’ll trim the flowers if you need to. I like that the flowers look like they go from one edge to another. To finish, I attached some clear confetti and some Nuvo Crystal Drops to the centers of the flowers in black.
I hope you enjoyed these cards! The Anemone set is not carried by Simon Says Stamp right now and I really should’ve checked before using this set, but it’s more about the technique and I’m linking some other similar sets you could use this technique with! Any flowers used would work! Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Beautiful cards, Caly! Ink blending is my favorite technique because I’m such a lazy colorist. I love that you created two different sized cards, too.

Thanks, Donna! I don’t think it’s lazy at all! Just a different technique! 😘
