Hero Arts – Christmas Rose

Hey Friends!

Today’s card is inspired by Rifle Paper Co. – they have beautiful flower patterns and when I started coloring the Hero Arts Christmas Rose background, I was inspired to use similar colors.

I began by stamping the image onto an A2 sized panel with Versamark ink and embossing it with gold embossing powder.

I colored the flowers and foliage first – then the background – the entire panel is covered with Copic marker ink.

Large Flowers: R59, R37, R32, R21, R01
Smaller Flowers: R81, R83, R85
Greens: G43, G46
Teals: BG72, BG75
Yellow: Y15
Black: 110
Background: RV42

I trimmed the panel to mat an A2-sized card base and then trimmed a sentiment from the Reverse Christmas Sentiment Strips to add to the card using foam adhesive. I wanted something really simple as to not distract and take away from the pretty background.
