I’m sharing a “one layer” watercolor card today using Pretty Pink Posh’s Crocus Flowers. I love this set and have used it every winter since it was first released….usually in January when they start blooming but I’m using it a little earlier this year.

I began by stamping the images on watercolor cardstock using a light ink-for a no-line look. It also helps to use a light ink so I didn’t have to mask the images at all. I stamped everything I wanted and then began watercoloring with Daniel Smith watercolors.

I extended stems if necessary and when I was done watercoloring, I added a pencil frame around the image to give it a border. Then I watercolored the frame with the same green ink I used on the leaves, adding a gradient so the leaves could still be seen.

My sentiment is stamped and embossed from the Simple Sentiment set and attached with foam adhesive for dimension.
