I’ve got a few rainbow cards to share with you using the Avery Elle Rainbows set. It’s all about the Rainbows Dies on my card but the sentiments from the stamp set are great too! I love the adorable font!
To make my card, I used the largest outline die to make a rainbow card base – making sure not to cut off the folded side of the card base. Then I die-cut the rainbow’s base by cutting the smaller outline. Next, I die-cut the rainbow frame. Lots of die-cutting!
Then I die-cut the rainbow bands using colored cardstock and when I do this – I always feel like I need to make multiples! There are 7 bands but I couldn’t commit to making 7 different cards so I settled on 3! I used the negative on one of those cuts as a template to in-lay these rainbows onto the smaller rainbow bases that I die-cut in the previous step.
To create my shaker window, I adhered acetate to the rainbow frames. Then I added foam adhesive all around the rainbow – patience required! I added some iridescent sequins before adhering the frame. To finish, I stamped the sentiments on the clouds and ink-blended lightly with blue ink and adhered them to the bottom of the rainbow using 3 layers of ffoam adhesive for lots of dimension.
