Hi, Friends!
I’m using Suzy’s Winter Florals Watercolor Prints today from the Holly Jolly Release! It’s my first time using them so it’s was fun to try! In case you didn’t know, they are printed on Tim Holtz’s watercolor paper and you can use a variety of different mediums on them – even Copic markers (my friend Barb Engler loves using Copic markers on them).

My brain always defaults to Daniel Smith for watercoloring so it’s what I used today but I do think trying other mediums would work great! The paper was something new to me too and I’m glad I got to try it – definitely takes getting used to when you’re using something new but don’t give up!

I always google flowers before coloring to find an image that inspires me. I saw a pretty winter rose with minimal color that I tried to imitate for today’s card. I failed and added more color than I should have – not that you would know 😅. After I watercolored, I trimmed my panel and splattered it with white and black paint.

I attached my panel to a piece of craft foam to adhere it to a card base, but before doing so, I wrapped it with twine. To finish, I attached my sentiment strip from the Reverse Christmas Sentiment Strips.
I hope you enjoyed this card! Thanks so much for joining me here today!
