Mama Elephant – Oh Penguin Tree

Hello, Friends!

I’m sharing a Mama Elephant card today using the Oh Penguin Tree set. It’s so festive and these penguins are adorable!

I stamped and colored my images with Copic markers.

Penguins: R30, [W0, W2], [W4, W6, W8]
Browns: E30, E31, E35
Black Top Hat: C2, C4, C6, C8
Reds: R32, R35, R37, R39
Yellows/Oranges: [Y11, Y15], [YR23, Y38]
Greens: G03, G09
Teals: BG32, BG49
Blues: [B000, B00], [B01, B02, B05]
Purples: B60, B63, B66

For my background, I ink-blended Distress Oxide inks using Tumbled Glass, Cracked Pistachio, and Peacock Feathers. I sprayed it with some water and splattered it with more white paint for texture.

On another blank white panel, I ink-blended Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick, and Picked Raspberry. I die-cut it and two more white panels using the Big Merry and Bright die for my sentiment and stacked them together to give them dimension.

My card today is 4.25″ x 7.25″ because I didn’t want too much space between the sentiment and penguin tree. I like this “mini” slimline size when it’s appropriate and can make a custom envelope for it if I need to.
