Lawn Fawnatics – Challenge #96 – Ladybug and Leaf

Hey Friends!

A new Lawn Fawnatics Challenge has begun! This challenge is wide open with the theme as BIRTHDAY!

I wanted to use one of the products from Lawn Fawn’s latest release, so I decided to use the Ladybug and Leaf die set. It coordinates well with the A Bug Deal sentiments.

I die-cut my ladybugs first and flooded the red cardstock with glossy accents to give it lots of shine and dimension.

I used Distress Inks to ink-smoosh color for my background and leaves. The background is ink-smooshed with Mermaid Lagoon. I dried the watercolor panel between layers with my heat tool. For my leaves, I used Lucky Clover Ink, but used 110lb cardstock instead of watercolor.

I attached my leaves to my watercolored background panel after adhering the white outline over the leaf panels. After adhering the leaves down with foam adhesive, I did the same with the ladybugs. Then I finished my card by attaching my embossed sentiment. It’s not the most festive birthday card, but I hope you like it and that it inspires you to create and participate in this challenge!
