I have a fun and simple card to share with you today! The Paper Hug set is a wonderful set to have in your stash for a quick card. I love that the images are large and easy to color – and I show you a quick card that doesn’t even involve coloring!
I use only Simon Says Stamp Cardstock for my card today. I cut 5 strips of each color in 1/4″ stripes with a length of 5 1/2″. On a panel of thin printer paper measuring 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ (the size of a side-folded A2 cardbase), I added double sided adhesive to add the paper strips in rainbow order. This gives nearly 2 full panels and I can use them for multiple projects.
I wanted to showcase all the colors of the cardstock rainbow so I cut a piece going vertically for my hug window. Before adhering it to a cardbase, I first embossed the Paper Hug image in white. Using some Ivory cardstock, I die-cut the window using the coordinating die for the image I embossed.
I adhered the rainbow striped panel down, centering it using the window panel as a guide. Once that was in place, I adhered acetate to my window for my shaker, added foam adhesive and some iridescent sequins over the striped panel and secured my shaker in place. I finished by adding embossed sentiment strips.
