Hi, Friends!
I’ve been looking at pretty rainbow fabric and got inspired by nursery prints – sweet rainbows everywhere and oh so soft! Today’s card uses the Rainbow Layering Stencils by Simon Says Stamp.
The stencil is easy to use and each band stacks perfectly over the next. I used Simon Says Stamp ink to ink-blend each band and then used the same stencil to stencil on rainbow raindrops. To give it more interest, I added Glitz Glitter Gel over a few of the bands and attached Teardrop gems over a few of the raindrops.
The Layered Rainbow Stencils coordinate with the Rainbow Card Die so I used the cloud dies to die-cut white and vellum clouds to give my card more dimension. I added foam adhesive to the back and layered this panel over a panel of Fog cardstock. the soft brown/gray color reminds me of the nursery prints that inspired this card.
I could’ve made this a baby card, but feel that I can send more encouragement cards so I used sentiment strips from the Thinking of You Sentiment Strips. I hope you like it! This is my way of complicating simple stencils…LOL!
