Hi, Friends!
I have a fun and colorful underwater card to share today! When I saw the Underwater Friends and Underwater Background Builder sets from Avery Elle, I knew I had to have them!
As I’m blogging this, The Little Mermaid is playing on my TV. It’s such a classic that my daughter and I love. Anyway, I stamped and colored my images using Copic markers.
Reds: R30, R32, R35, R39
Peaches: YR00, YR02
Yellows: Y00, Y15
Greens: [G12, G14, G03], [G21, G24, G28]
Teals: BG11, BG13, BG34
Blues: [B000, B02], [B23, B24, B26]
Purples: V000, V05
Skin: E000, E53, E04
Browns: [E11, E13, E15], [E41, E42, E43, E44]
Grays: N1, N2, N4
After die-cutting all the colored images, I ink-blended the background on a separate A2-sized panel using Distress Oxide Inks. I ink-blended the panel with Pink & Main Mini Ergonomic Blending Brushes using Tumbled Glass, Mermaid Lagoon and Blueprint Sketch inks. When done, I sprayed it with some water droplets to give it more texture.
I trimmed down the ink-blended panel to mat it to a card base and attached the Underwater Background Builder images using foam adhesive for dimension. Then using the filler images I colored, I filled in different areas of the card before attaching the mermaid and fish images from the Underwater Friends set. Finally, I attached my embossed sentiment.
