Simon Says Stamp – Limited Edition Spring Gnome Card Kit

Hello Friends!!

There’s another Limited Edition card kit this month and it’s a Spring Gnome kit! This adorable kit comes with a 6″ x 8″ Spring Gnomie stamp set along with a Gnomie Home mushroom die. There’s more – stencil, 3D embossing folder, watercolor cards and of course, lots of patterned paper and cardstock!

I began by die-cutting the Gnomie Home die using white cardstock and coloring all the parts to the mushroom house using Copic markers. I found this easier than cutting a bunch of different colored cardstock to piece together – plus, I could shade how I like.

Next, I stamped and colored my images from the Spring Gnomie stamp set and colored them with Copic markers as well.

Reds: R32, R35, R37, R39, R89
Pinks: R00, R22
Greens: G12, G14, G16
Blue: B00
Teals: [BG10, BG11, BG34], [BG70, BG53, BG57]
Skin: E41, E53, E04
Grays: C1, C3, C5, C7
Browns: E41, E30, E31, E35, E37

My background is ink-blended using Rustic Wilderness and Salty Ocean Distress Oxide Inks. I splattered it with watered-down blue acrylic paint to give the panel some texture before adding my images. Finally, I trimmed down a sentiment from the Spring Gnomes Sentiment Strips – also included in the kit!
