Memory Box – All the Happiness

Hi Friends!

I’ve always loved Memory Box and have been wanting to create a card using their products. They are well-known for their dies but I found a set that I really wanted to use to share with you today. The All the Happiness set is a large 6″ x 8″ set with two large floral sprays and lots of sentiments!

I stamped the smaller floral spray to watercolor using Daniel Smith watercolors. I tried to make it quick and tried to do some looser watercoloring than I am used to… but I am not sure if I succeeded. I need to let go a bit more, use more water and let it flow organically for a looser look.

These images do come with dies, but I don’t have them, so I fussy cut. I don’t mind fussy cutting at all, though I would never choose do it if I had dies! 😅. Anyway, after fussy cutting it, I splattered the image with black and white paint to give it some more interest. On a white panel, I ink-blended very softly with Evergreen Bough Distress Oxide ink in the bottom right hand corner towards the center of the panel. This just gives a little bit of color behind the floral spray. Then to give it a decorative stitched border, I used my Stitched Rectangle Die to cut the border.

I die-cut the Crystal Frames die using gold cardstock and just love how delicate that frame is! I adhered it directly to the panel and adhered the floral spray over it using foam adhesive. To finish, I adhered a sentiment from the Thinking of You Sentiment Strips. I decided to use these instead of a sentiment from the All the Happiness set because I felt I didn’t have enough room with the frame but they really are pretty!
