Simon Says Stamp – Sweet Garden Birds

Hi Friends!

I have a spring card to share using the Sweet Garden Birds set from Simon Says Stamp. The stamp set requires no coloring – all inking! You know how I feel about that – I love not having to color! I did use a lot of inks though – because I love adding lots of color and dimension when I can.

My rainbow birds are a blend of 2 colors each. I stamped the slide images with a lighter shade, then used a finger dauber to add a lighter shade at the bottom of the wings and body of the birds to add more depth. I stamped the bellies with the same dark ink and then the faces with black ink.

For the background, I ink-blended the Bitty Florals Stencil – it’s a slimline stencil and perfect for a subtle background. I did use a brown branch stamp and stamped in Barely Beige….but as the name implies, it was barely noticeable!

I finished with simple sentiment strips using the Reverse Welcome Spring Sentiment Strips. I separated the sentiment to adhere in two places for more balance on my card today. I hope you like it!
