Hey Friends!

I’m excited to share today’s card. I love ink-blending stencils to bring them to life and I really tried to think outside the box to make today’s card special. You probably wont believe a stencil was used, but that’s the goal! The Born to Sparkle Release brings you the XL Rose Bouquet – a beautiful stencil large enough for any sized card. My card today is A2-sized but you can use this stencil on a slimline card too.

To make my card today, I first used the stencil to add color to the roses, foliage and berries using Simon Says Stamp Ink. Those Rainbow Pack Blender Brushes are new and unlike Tseukineko finger daubers, they are brush bristles and blend so nicely!

How do y’all feel about the dark teal background? I always go for black and wanted to try something different and was inspired by Rifle Paper Co prints and thought I should tray a dark teal. I patiently outlined the stamped images and colored the background with a BG75 Copic marker. Did I say patience? I can’t tell you how much of a perfectionist I am – I think you can take a guess bc Copics don’t fill solid areas well without-leaving streaks. I tried my best to go over the areas multiple times to prevent this as much as possible but it’s still not perfect. Please don’t look too close!

I finished by placing the stencil over the ink-blending once more and adding Glitz Glitter Gel to give the flowers and foliage sparkle. It doesn’t take too long to dry and once it did, I splattered it with some white paint to give it more texture. My sentiment is from the new Reverse Encouraging Words Sentiment Strips – these are such a time saver for me when I want a simple sentiment strip (which I usually do)!
