Hi, Friends!
Simon Says Stamp’s Born to Sparkle Release is here! I can’t wait to share more projects with you over the next few days. Release day (or night) is always so exciting because of all the anticipation! I create these cards at least 2 weeks in advance, ship them in for photography of promotional banners and then it’s fun to see them again on the Facebook Lives! It’s really such an honor – be sure to check out the FB Live this Friday at 12pm EST!

My card today features the Spring Bouquets set! There are 2 large bouquets to choose one and I chose the rose one to color for my card today. It fits a mini slimline layout perfectly but would be beautiful on a slimline card too! I stamped and colored my image with Copic markers and spent time perfecting the shading. I have to say, I got the color combination for the roses from my friend, Emily Midgett and it is gorgeous! I’ve never used a gray marker to add deeper tones before and it’s genius!
Roses: RV23, RV25, RV29, T5
Leaves: YG23, G14, G09

I didn’t add any gel highlights or splatters on this – the roses are so striking on their own! But I decided to add some texture to the background with some twine and Antique Linen Distress Oxide ink for some grounding on behind the image.

My sentiment is embossed in gold over vellum – I didn’t want to completely cover any part of the beautiful stamped image and vellum is a way to allow some color to still shine through. I used the Deckle Torn Edge Trimmer to give it a torn look and wrapped the sentiment band around the card before attaching the panel to a mini-slimline card base. I finished by attaching some dew clear drops to add a delicate touch. I hope you like it!
Two products I want to share that I’m so thrilled about are the Pet Pawsitively Everything Tool and the Rainbow Pack Blender Brushes!
Shari did a great video sharing ways to use this amazing tool and you can view it HERE. She had me at coaster….I always have a tumbler or mug of coffee every morning and sometimes tea in the afternoon if I’m cold (and I usually am) and this would be amazing to have for just drinks. It’s a great tool for many things though!
And who doesn’t love rainbow blending brushes? I love finger daubers for detailed stencil and ink-blending work and these definitely do the job nicely! I will share a card tomorrow where I used these great blenders with a new stencil so stay tuned!
Be sure to check out the full Born to Sparkle Release! The 2-Day Blog Hops start Thursday!
