I have the pleasure of sharing a card using the Sweet Springs set from Gina K.’s new release! I’ve colored the main bouquet from the set – but there individual floral images as well as a smaller stemmed floral image – be sure to check it out!
To create today’s card, I stamped and colored the image with Copic markers. I wanted them to be vibrant and multi-colored so i did a blend from pinks to yellow.
Pinks: RV23, RV25, RV29
Greens: YG06, YG09, YG17, G28
Oranges: Y11, YR68, YR09
Browns: E84, E87, E89
After coloring, I fussy cut around the image because I wanted to give it some dimension over an ink-blended background. I didn’t have the dies – but I’ve linked them below for you. On a separate panel, I ink-blended Bundled Sage Distress Oxide Ink before die-cutting it with a decorative scallop border using the Master Layouts 4 die set.
I stamped the sentiment in the bottom left hand corner, then added my image using foam adhesive. Before attaching it to a card panel and card base, I splattered the image with white paint to give it some texture.
What do you think? I hope you like it! I have to admit – creating a gradient like I did on these flowers was a challenge – far more difficult to blend from the center of the panel than it is from the base of the petal!
