Hey Friends!
There’s a new Lawn Fawn Challenge over on the Lawn Fawnatics Blog. The theme is Destination/Travel. I have to be honest – we are completely travel-naive. I want to blame it on school/work and raising a family for the past 16 years but a lot of it at this point is intimidation – not just because we have a global pandemic, but because years of work and raising kids makes it hard now for me to plan. I feel like it’s hard to make time to even go to a park and just enjoy the day without a deadline or the urgency of getting back home to get something done. Does anyone else feel this way? I’m an anxious person, so I’m always worry about the next thing.
So today’s card for me doesn’t go far from home. Who says a destination you love has to be hundreds of miles away right? If I’m being honest, my favorite place is HOME. A bike ride and picnic at the park sounds heavenly and I know my family wouldn’t mind it at all.
To create my scene today, I stamped images from several stamp sets – be sure to check out the supply list below to get them all. It was fun combining these images for my park picnic scene!

Forgive me, I used a lot of markers on this and it would’ve been absurd for me to write them all down even though they look like pretty basic colors.
I created a slimline card to fit all the images. I ink-blended the grassy hillside with Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide Ink and the sky using Salvaged Patina and Peacock Feathers. I used the Slimline Stitched Hillside Border Die but used the wrong end – so there is no stitching 🤦🏻♀️. Oops!
I stamped my sentiment at the top in the center of the card and then filled my scene with the bike and picnic images. What do you think? I hope it makes you smile. I am loving that all the grass and trees are green again and my spring flowers are starting to bloom. It’s perfect weather for a nice picnic!
