Welcome! I’ve been playing with different techniques the past few days and am enjoying the change of pace. Sometimes, I get stuck in a rut with coloring with markers and painting so for today’s card, I decided to play with alcohol inks.
I dropped a few drops of each color onto some YUPO paper and then added alcohol-blending solution in order to move around the color with an air blower tool. I added more ink-blending solution after it dried and added more color where it needed some and repeated the process with more alcohol-blending solution. When I was happy with the way it looked, I sprinkled some alcohol/alcohol-blending solution to give it a few splatters.
Before it was completely dry, I added some Gold Gilding Flakes and brushed it around with a brush – it only sticks where alcohol ink is still wet and sticky. It adds a nice touch to the alcohol-inked background.
Next, I die-cut the Flower Cluster 3 times in white cardstock and stacked them together for dimension. The sentiment is die-cut using vellum, gold glitter cardstock, and white cardstock. I adhered it at the center of the panel using some foam tape to match the height of the Flower Cluster.
