Hi Friends!

Welcome back to another card featuring new product from the Simon Says Stamp Rainbows Release! Today’s card uses the You Are Loved set, designed by Cathy Zielske! I created a rainbow card using a black background. I know rainbows are pretty popular and I was searching for inspiration online for rainbow cards and came across a black card and wanted to try it – I hope you like it!

It’s a very simple card that took me far too long to make! I stamped and colored the image over white cardstock and colored it with Copic markers. After die-cutting, Ii used a black marker to color the border around the die-cut image to blend it into the black background.

My sentiment is embossed in white over black cardstock – so no more Copic coloring is required. Before adhering the image and sentiment down, I decided to emboss the largest rectangle set from the Stitched Rectangles die set onto an A2-sized panel. I didn’t do my usual thick white border for this one, so I felt a nice stitching would be nice.

I finished by adhering iridescent sequins. This mix is the Angel Aura mix from Gina K. Designs – I just love the reflective colors it gives! I think I spent at least 2 hours ho-humming about this card. There’s a lot more to cardmaking for me than sitting down and creating. I spend a lot of time thinking about what I’m going to do and sometimes, it’s not an easy decision – especially when I overthink everything. Anyway – I hope you like this card.
