Hi Friends!

I’m sharing a lovely card today using Honey Bee Stamps products. I love 3D flower dies – or anything with lots of dimension and the Lovely Hydrangeas set is gorgeous! There are 4 layers that stack and line up easily and spare petals for you to add dimension.

I used Simon Says Stamp cardstock and inks for my project today. I die-cut the bottom two layers using Lavender cardstock and the top two layers and petals using Cotton Candy cardstock. To give them lots of interesting color, I choose 4 different colors of ink to ink-blend each layer to make them different. The leaves are die-cut from Green Apple and Green Leaf cardstock and ink-blended with Fern ink.

I went lighter with cardstock and ink color as I got to the top layer, and combining colors on a few petals too. To give my petals a good amount of curl, I used the Tim Holtz Shaping Kit. It comes with a durable foam pad with shaping tools in several sizes and I used the largest “ball” to roll over my petals to give them dimension.

I gave everything a quick splatter with dark pink paint and added Nuvo Glitter to the flower centers. To finish, I used sentiments from the Bitty Buzzwords stamp and dies. I embossed the word happy and die-cut the word birthday from gold glitter cardstock and adhered it to it’s coordinating vellum halo.

This is definitely a die I want to use over and over – it is a lot easier to layer than it looks! I hope you enjoyed it! Thanks for stopping by!
