Welcome to an inspiration blog hop for the new Big & Bold, Savvy Sentiments and Lovely Legs line for Colorado Craft Company! I used the Uh, Oh! set for today’s watercolor card.

I stamped the fun image using a light ink for no-line coloring and began watercoloring with Daniel Smith Watercolors. I started with the focal point of my card – those denim pants. This is only the second time I’ve watercolored anything but florals, so I really had to search for inspiration on Google.

After the denim pants, I worked my way up to the shirt, then the arms and ankles, and then the shoes, adding brighter colors to bring interest to this scene. I finished by watercoloring the spilt ice cream and ground. The background is always tricky for me, so I decided to do some ink-blending using Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Ink.

I trimmed down my panel when done and decided that it didn’t need splatters before stamping my sentiment using a crisp black ink. It’s a simple scene, but offers encouragement and positivity! I hope you like it!
