Hey Friends!
Have you been curious about the Altenew Watercolor Coloring Book? I finally got my hands on one and flipped through to choose a design to watercolor for today’s card. There are 24 5″ x 7″ panels in the book – 12 designs – one printed in black and another in a light gray ink for no-line watercoloring.
I used Altenew watercolor paint from the Artists’ Watercolor Palette.
Paints used: Cherry Blossom, Fiery Sunset, Delectable Delights, Green Hills, Green Meadows
When I was done painting, I went over the image to add depth using Faber Castel Polychromos colored pencils. I then added texture by splattering using and gold paint from the Altenew Metallic Watercolor Set. The finished panel is 5″ x7″, so I trimmed it down by a 1/4″ on each side to mat a gray panel from Fog cardstock. Before adhering the panel, I wrapped some twine around it first.
My sentiment is stamped and embossed in white over black cardstock using the Beautiful Day stamp set. I fussy cut around the sentiment and used black foam strips to adhere it to my card.
I should’ve added sequins but didn’t think about it until after photos were taken. Ooops! I hope you like it anyway! Thanks for stopping by!
