Hey Friends!

I’m sharing watercolor card today using the Beautiful Mothers set. This stamp set was a part of a kit (also sold separately) and when I shared kit projects, I didn’t color the images for my cards – I instead stamped and embossed over vellum – a first for me to not color!

There is a U-shaped stamp and I stamped it twice to create a wreath using a light ink over Arches Cold Pressed Watercolor Paper for no-line coloring. Then, I watercolored with Daniel Smith Watercolors.

Daniel Smith:  Mayan Violet, Quinacridone Gold, Quinacridone Purple, Jadeite Genuine

After painting, I die-cut the stitched border around the image using the largest die from the Stitched Rectangles set. Then I splattered the panel with the Jadeite Genuine green paint I used for the leaves.

My sentiment is from the Stronger Together set. It’s a cluster of sentiment labels that you stamp together so it makes for a quick and bold sentiment! I did fussy-cut around the outer edges but that was easy peasy! I attached it to my card using foam adhesive for lots of dimension, then finished by adhering some iridescent sequins.
