Welcome! I have another stenciled card to share with you today! Pinkfresh Studio has a multitude of coordinating products now that include stamps, dies and stencils and I can’t help getting set where pretty flowers are involved – especially ones that are illustrated by my friend, Emily Midgett.

Emily illustrated these Butterfly Ranunculus for the It’s a New Day set. I stenciled them twice – one set softer and one set a little more vibrant. When you google Butterfly Ranunculus, you’ll come across very soft colors – in the end, I went with the more realistic flower colors. I used the stencils to add color, but I hope I get the chance to use this set again and color them either with markers or watercolor.

There are 4 layered stencils. I worked on the flowers first, then the leaves. Inks used: Ballet Slipper, Coral Reef, Marigold, Fresh Pear, Key Lime, Olive.

My background panel is created by first die-cutting the Slim Diagonal Stitched Plaid pattern onto a mini slimline panel. Then I used the diagonal stitched mini slimline die using a die from the Mini Slimline Essentials Bundle.

I finished by embossing sentiments from the Perfect Sentiments set and adding some pink Jewels. Because my floral spray extends beyond the mini slimline border, I created a cardbase that encompassed the entire spray without overhang. I’m not worried about the larger size since I can always custom make an envelope when I have someone to send this card to.
