Simon Says Stamp – Make Magic Release Blog Hop

Hi, Friends!

Welcome to an inspiration blog hop celebrating the Simon Says Stamp Make Magic Release!!! Today is Day 1 of 2 – so be sure to check out tomorrow’s blog hop also! You can also view the Make Magic Gallery to see all the inspiration in one place! I hope you’ll find lots of inspiration along the way for this wonderful release!

Today’s card features the Hibiscus Blooms stamp and die combo. I used Daniel Smith watercolors to color the beautiful images from this set.

Colors used:
Quinacridone Rose
New Gamboge
Hooker’s Green
Sepia
Ultramarine Violet
Ultramarine Turquoise
Phthalo Blue Green Shade
Bloodstone Genuine

When I was done watercoloring, I used the coordinating dies to die-cut the images. I splattered the Hibiscus Blooms stem with white and black paint to give it more interest. On a separate white panel, I ink-blended Bundled Sage and Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide Inks. To give it a nice border, I die-cut the ink-blended panel with the largest Stitched Rectangles die.

I attached my images to the ink-blended panel using foam adhesive to give it dimension, then finished by attaching an embossed sentiment from the Hibiscus Blooms stamp set – which also has a coordinating die (I LOVE this!)

The Make Magic Release is available now! Be sure to check it all out!
