I have a fun card to share today! Paper-piecing with dies is always so much fun for me and I adore the Build a Xylophone set! It’s so much fun and punny – appropriate for any age!

I used Simon Says Stamp cardstock for my Build a Xylophone: Lipstick Red, Sunshine, Lemon Chiffon, Green Leaf, Surf Blue, Island Blue, Lavender, and Cotton Candy. I used White Woodgrain cardstock for the xylophone base and die-cut the ends 4 more times using white cardstock for layering. To give the white woodgrain cardstock some color, I ink-blended them softly with Khaki ink. The ends are stacked with 5 total layers including the woodgrain layer and the support beams underneath one layer of woodgrain and 1 layer of white. I used foam adhesive underneath those.

I spaced the colorful sound bars evenly before adhering them down. For the Xylophone mallets, I used woodgrain cardstock again and die-cut the tops three times in a red and stacked them. Then I flooded the tops with Glossy Accents. To finish my xylophone, I die-cut the round pins using Silver Holographic cardstock and adhered them at the end of each sound bar.

I die-cut a wonky frame around a white panel to mat a piece of rainbow patterned paper before adhering my xylophone to it and stamping the sentiment.
