Hello Friends!
I have another rainbow card to share today using Waffle Flower products. I used the Outline Butterfly Panel with the Circle Butterly Shaker Die to create colorful layers.
To start, I ink-blended a white panel with Distress Oxide inks at a diagonal to create a rainbow: Picked Raspberry, Squeezed Lemonade, Peacock Feathers, Salty Ocean, Wilted Violet. I wanted to give it some sparkle but didn’t want to wait for it to dry if I used a paste, so I applied embossing ink all over it and used Sparkle Embossing Powder, that way, I could heat set and it would be dry instantly. Next, I die-cut the Outline Butterfly Panel in white to layer over the top using foam adhesive for dimension.
I then ink-blended a second panel to match the top portion of my card and die-cut it using the Circle Butterfly Shaker Die. The butterfly die-cuts from both this die and the Outline Butterflies Panel are the same size, so they coordinate well together. I die-cut the rainbow panel and again in vellum. I also die-cut the shadow/halo using Pixie Dust Sparkle Cardstock to give it more sparkle. I added small pieces of foam tape between the butteflies on the A2 sized panel where this shadow panel would go to give it more height to match the frame, then attached it. Then I glued down the vellum layer first and in-layed the rainbow butterflies using foam square for more dimension.
Last but not least, I found a round sentiment that fit perfectly inside the center of the Circle Butterfly Shaker. I embossed the sentiment from the Simon Says Stamp Snowflake Season set and die-cut it with a coordinating die. I then finished by attaching it to the center using foam adhesive. Lots of dimension and layers on this one and I love it! I hope you do too!
