Hi Friends!

A good layered stamp set is about as fun as paper layering! Today, I’m sharing a card made using the Poppy Fields set from Sunny Studio. There are 4+ layers to each of the flowers and I have a lot of fun picking out the ink colors for each of the layers.

I really love Simon Says Stamp Inks – there are lots of colors and I think one of the most unique colors that I don’t see often is the sage and laurel green color that I use on this card. I like to die-cut a template for my MISTI and in-lay die-cut pieces to mass-produce. Jennifer McGuire has a great video showing this technique and you can check that out HERE.

After arranging all my flowers (without the leaves) on a blank slimline panel, I used some Glad Press N’ Seal to hold it all together. I flipped it over and added foam adhesive and set it aside to work on a background. I used the Dusty Sage ink to ink-blend the bottom and up the sides of my white slimline panel. Then I splattered it with green and white paint. When it was dry, I adhered my flowers and stems to the panel, then filled in the open areas with the leaves.

Next, I stamped my sentiment. Truth be told, the stamp shift in my MISTI and it double-stamped. So I stamped it on another piece of paper and fussy-cut around the letters to attach it to the card. I didn’t mind doing this because I do love the dimension, but it was another step in the process. I hope you like how this card turned out!
