Hello, Friends!
I have a different card to share today. By different, I mean this is probably not a design you’d typically see from me. Simon Says Stamp posted something on their facebook page a while ago that really caught my attention. So when the Throwing Shapes background cling was released with the latest Make Magic release, I had to try and replicate it!

To re-create the design, I stamped the Throwing Shapes background with black pigment ink and embossed it with clear embossing powder. I wanted to do some emboss-resist because I knew I would be ink-blending with lots of different colors and didn’t want the black ink to smear/smudge.

I masked off each section and ink-blended one block at a time, moving around so that similar colors don’t touch, working with one color at a time until no white areas remained. I made sure to wipe away any residual ink with a cloth before removing the masks after each block.
Simon Says Stamp Inks Used: Hot Lips, Sunkist, Lemon Zig, Scuba, Island Blue, Hot Mama

For my sentiment, I wanted something something bold, but I didn’t want to take away all the color. I found a sentiment from the XL Greetings 2 set that I thought was perfect and stamped it over vellum and embossed it with white embossing powder.

I had to finish my card with sequins because I felt it was missing something. I hope you like it! Thanks so much for stopping by today!
