I’m sharing a Hero Arts project today using the Succulent Bouquet set. I’ve been loving their new bouquet sets and have been wanting to watercolor this one. I love succulents and used to have a few different arrangements, but after so many moves, they didn’t survive. One of these days, I shall try again!

I stamped the bouquet with a light ink for some no-line coloring and used Daniel Smith watercolors to to give this bouquet lots of different colors.

Daniel Smith:  Viridian, Opera Pink, Mayan Violet, Quin Purple, Sap Green, Hooker’s Green, Phthalo Green Yellow Shade

When I was done, I die-cut the image and set it aside to work on the background. I ink-blended a panel that was 3 1/4″ by 6 1/4″ to ink-blend some Evergreen Bough and Bundled Sage Distress Oxide Inks at an angle. Next, I stamped the sentiment and embossed it in gold. I trimmed this to mat a card base before adhering my bouquet with foam adhesive.

Before attaching my card panel to the mini slimline cardbase, I splattered it with white and black paint to give it more interest. I finished by attaching some iridescent sequins. I hope you like it! Thanks for visiting today!
