Simon Says Stamp – STAMPtember® 2021 – The Neighborhood

Hello, Friends!

Today’s card features the STAMPtember The Neighborhood Dies! It coordinates with the Printmaking Houses stamp and die set. I paired it with the Detail Cloud Plate for additional interest, but kept it simple as a background for my colorful houses.

I love the wonky shape of these houses. I die-cut them using Simon Says Stamp cardstock, then made the doors, windows, and roofs a little darker using a coordinating Copic marker.

Cardstock: Lipstick Red, Orange Peel, Banana, Peacock, Mint, Green Apple, Island Blue, Lavender, Doll Pink

Copics: R37, YR09, Y13, BG18, BG13, G24, B06, V15, RV1

This card is definitely inspired by Laura Bassen! I love her simple and colorful cards! I used the Detail Cloud Plate to give the background some interest before adhering the houses with foam tape. I tried my best to keep in in the same alignment as the die itself.

I finished by stamping and embossing a sentiment from the Printmaking Houses set and added the whole thing to a cream panel. I hope you enjoyed this! Thanks for stopping by!

Hi, Caly – I tried to be good and not order this die set. I had my cart waiting, waiting… finally I thought, NOPE! Order that set of house dies. So I did. I am SO glad I did b/c I am sure it will sell out, if it hasn’t already. MFTS had one similar and I did not order that right away and it was sold out for a LONG time. Love, love, love the cloud piercing behind the houses on your card! Fantastic job!
